He is a founder member of the Friends of KGV Cottingham serving as Chairman from 2006 to 2010 during which time the Multi Use Games Area was completely refurbished, the BMX Dirt track was designed and constructed and the Pavilion was fully rebuilt and improved following the arson attack in 2007. He is also a founder member and Director of the Cottingham KGV Community Trust in 2009 serving as Chairman from that time. His ambition is to provide a facility that serves the entire community and beyond to the highest possible standards.

Carole Airey (Treasurer)

Katrin McClure (Secretary)
Katrin is married with two adult children and has lived in Cottingham since 1965, when she was working at the University of Hull. From 1979 till 1997 she was a supervisor at Cottingham Pre-School, and from 1995 till May 2011 she represented the people of Cottingham South as a councillor on the East Riding Council. At present she is a Governor at Hallgate Primary School and Cottingham High School. She became involved with KGV in 2004, when East Riding Council invited the community to contribute to their plans to develop and improve the playing fields and the Friends of KGV was formed. In 2009, when the Trust was established, she became a trustee and is now secretary of the Trust.Over the next few years she would like to see KGV become an integral part of the life of Cottingham, providing activities and opportunities for children, youth and adults, and organising regular events for the whole community.

David Jackson
Dave, known to his friends as ‘Jacko’ is 40 something years old and originally from Preston, Lancashire. He has lived in Hull for over 20 years and considers himself an adopted “Hullonian”. He
works full time as the manager at the Astoria Bingo Club in Hull and he is also the Chairman of East Riding Rangers Football Club since the club was formed in the year 2000. He is also a fully
qualified football coach and coaches the East Riding Rangers 4 to 7 Years Academy every Thursday evening. He loves to watch football and he is a huge England FC fan; he travels all over the world
taking in every England game (home and away!). He doesn’t have much spare time but his main loves in life are football, books, music and film, and the occasional beer! As a trustee at KGV he has
responsibility for Personnel and Health and Safety and he became involved because his football teams play at Cottingham Pavilion and he thinks it’s a great local asset which can be made even better
for the community.
His vision for KGV is to make it the best facility we can, a fantastic facility, supported and used by the local community every day.

Geraldine Mathieson
As one of Cottingham's ERYC councillors, Geraldine gets involved with all sorts of
community projects. Not being particularly sporty, her interest lies with the other uses of the Pavilion, such as children's birthday parties. Community management is not just about providing the
services that Cottingham people want to see here, but also providing opportunities to work or volunteer here and steer the project.

Jan Tweedale

Steve Rogers (Finance and Vice Chair)
Steve is a qualified Accountant who works at Wyke 6th Form College in Hull. He was previously employed at the University of Hull and the University of Lincoln and has worked in Education for over 20 years. Steve was co-opted to help KGV Cottingham Community Trust with matters of a financial nature due to his knowledge and background in this area; he is also Vice Chair of the Trust Board. His vision for KGV is to make a success of the transfer of the facility from East Riding of Yorkshire Council and to improve the provision for the people of Cottingham and the surrounding area.

Doug McLaren
Doug has lived in Cottingham and the surrounding area for the past 35 years, he and his family moved to within the Cottingham boundaries approximately 20 years ago. He has retired from business, and has been actively involved within the ROTARY organization in excess of 12 years, serving the community both at home and overseas. In addition he was appointed as a Cottingham Parish Councillor in 2010. As a Trustee on Cottingham KGV Community Trust, he is looking forward to actively contributing to the further development of the existing facility and working jointly with the other Trustees and Friends of KGV Cottingham to ensure that the residents of Cottingham and on-site staff have the support that they rightly deserve.

Lena Slater
Lena is the ERYC Councillor for Cottingham South; she is also a Trustee of KGV with special interest in marketing, working with the Project Manager. She believes that KGV has an
integral place at the heart of our community in Cottingham. She sees the Trust, as literally 'Phoenix rising from the ashes', as the Trust exists because the orginal Pavilion burned
down. Her vision is for the Pavilion to be a place where Cottingham people can gather with friends, join in activites and have a genuine feeling that it is 'their place'. There
is warm welcome to every age group who come knowing we have a safe and happy atmosphere for fun and enjoyment.
